HBCPS(X) "the black box" Aug. 2015
As planned previously in late July 2013 I began working on the black projects within HBC Skunkworks. The research and development portion of HBC Solar PV Tech. Skunkworks is my secure site where I come up with the competitive technologies for marketing. In 2013 Skunkworks produced the HBC Powerstation 4 or HBCPS4. An all-in-one solar panel, battery bank, and generation station. The product was tested for over a year prior to serious marketing and some flaws where found. Flaws included the material used; which was not optimal for direct sun, heat, and cold exposure of middle GA. The coating of the material is likely more to blame. And, worse of all, HBCPS4 was torn apart by a violent winter storm, and was out of comission for close to 6 months. I finally revived the project and is now under further testing after major repairs. The use of aluminum rails will be inserted in the construction of HBCPS4. Three versions of the HBCPS4 are fully developed and are ready for marketing, and can be seen in the Services section of the full HBC website and the limited website. On July 2015 HBC Skunkworks is in the final stages of producing HBCPS(X), the latest in the Power Station series. The design goes back to the original "separate" battery bank/inverter/charger structure; separate from the solar panels. Separate; bacause the system can be applied to use without solar panels. It can be grid charged, wind charged, or generator charged, or just hauled out for use for a limited time at any location. The system is projected to be capable of producing anywhere from 1500 - 8000W and provide up to 1500Amp/hrs of energy reserve. In basic terms it may be able to run a small energy efficient home all on its own (international standard) and a an average US kitchen, living room, or living area; with no problem. The system is to make a debut in mid to late August and enter its testing stage shortly after. Given all is good, I expect to market it in early to mid fall 2015.
